Born March 9, 1937 in Edmonton, AB, Doug passed away in West Kelowna with his family at his side on January 26, 2012. Doug grew up in Welling, AB, joined the RCAF in 1954, and then married Judy his childhood sweetheart in July of ’57.  He served as a recreation specialist with the RCAF at several bases across Canada and Germany.  After he retired from the service he spent 8 years in real estate in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.  In 1987, he and Judy moved to Sicamous, BC where they retired at their home on the Shuswap Lake.  His last years were spent helping his brother-in-law, Doug; in the development of Doug and Karen’s property at Shuswap Falls RV Park.  This became a very special place to him for which he was very proud.
