BORDEN, Wilf. 1932– 1990.

After few years of army cadets, while in high school, Wilf anxiously joined the RCAF in 1951. Wilf started his military career as an aero-engine tech then remustered to Rec Spec after eighteen months. then served at Greenwood; St. Jean, Trenton, Stadacona and Shearwater. He also did a tour in Egypt. Wilf retired in 1976 as a MCpl. He won many awards in recognition of his athletic talents and was posthumously honoured in the early 90's when CFB Greenwood named the Summer Basketball League trophy after him. His brother George was also a RecSpec.
