Born on October 22nd, 1935 in Carlton Place, Ontario, Wish was a former member of the QOR of C joining the Canadian Armed Forces as a young man. He subsequently remustered to PERI and served in many locations; his final one being London ON where he received his discharge in 1965. Wish then worked as a Civil Servant with the Alberta Giovernment in the Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES) providing assistance to Albertans in overcoming the barriers to employment created by their disability until retiring in 1990. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed wood working. He volunteered many hours for the Poppy Campaign, the CNIB as a driver and helped stroke patients with rehabilitation.
