ADAM, Jacques. 1956-2017.

Jacques joined the CF around 1973 as a Rad Op Tech in the RCAF. He got posted to Gander after training. While employed there it was discovered that he was colour blind and he was offered different programs. He chose to go to school taking a Phys Ed degree at University of Trois-Rivières and was assigned to the PERI trade and was posted as a Cpl PERI to CFSU(Ottawa). He applied and was commissioned as a CFR as a Lieutenant posted to Shilo. A few years later, he worked as a Capt at CMR St-Jean running the Varsity program. A few years late, he decided to retire and started his own company. He joined the Naval Reserve and served with them for a few years. About three years later, he was hired as an Army Reserve Captain to run the CF Biathlon Training Centre in Valcartier. He did that job until 2004 when we closed the center. He then was taken on as the NPF civilian PSP Health Promotion Senior Director managing the CF Health Promotion program. He did it until his sad departure. He made the PERIs and PEROs very proud. He will be sadly missed by all. He loved to sail and I am sure that he will be missing his sailing boat. He was a rare officer who served the Air Force, the Navy and the Army. He was proud of that accomplishment.
