John (see  History page) qualified on a Bayonet Fighting and Physical Training Course held at Long Branch ON in 1917 where Billy Adkin (see above and the History page) was an Instructor at one of these Schools during WW 1. During the 1980s John attended a few graduation courses at CFSPER as an invited guest.
