WOLFE, Robert “Ace.” 1930-2017.

Ace joined the RCAF in August 1951, where he served as a Rec Spec and Rec Officer at various locations in Canada and Europe, served as Command PERO for Training System, Athletic Director at RMC Kingston, and as a Senior Staff Officer at HQ (DPERA 3) in Ottawa. He retired in Aug 1985. He was known to have been the builder of the RCAF National Sports Programs for Servicemen and Women from 1963 to 1965 that evolved to become the highly recognized competitive CF National Sports Championship Program. He did initiate a multitude of programs that would be too long to list them in this message.
Ace was undoubtedly a truly great ambassador for both the PERO/PERI MOC’s while equally recognized as such throughout our Canadian sporting community. He was a distinguished athlete, coach, official, and most importantly an impassioned believer/developer of meaningful competitive military/national sports programs.
