An avid piper, Jock was a CFR'd Recspec. After serving on the athletic staff at RRMC he was posted to Cold Lake as the BPERO. On retirement from the service he worked as the manager of the ski hill in Cold Lake. He subsequently moved from there to Olds AB then to Chemainus.
