BEVAN, Dick. 1937-2000.


Dick was born in Ketton, England and received his education in Victoria BC. He joined the RCAF in the mid-fifties and attained every non-commissioned rank, retiring as a CWO. He served in Baldy Hughes; Gander; Chatham; Summerside; Shearwater; Borden and Esquimalt.  Next to family, Dick enjoyed basketball, golf and boating. He served as manager of the National Basketball Team for two years

Dick was a quiet man, kept o himself with he staff but also would recognize some one with talent. Dick, Al Stoddard asked me if I would be willing to paint our badge on the Griesbach gym floor (back in 1983). I gladly accepted and everyone of us took pride of our new badge on the gym floor
