WEATHERBEE, Roy. ? - 2001.

Roy Weatherbee was an air force Rec. Spec. through and through. He grew up in Halifax and was playing Jr. A hockey in that city for Saint Mary’s in the mid-1950s prior to enrolling in the RCAF. Roy was an All Star caliber hockey & ball player at the national level. He coached the RMC Redmen hockey team for three years. He was fondly referred to as the “Howie Meeker” of CF hockey during a good part of the 1970s. He probably is best known as one of the original designers of the hockey goalie mask. At his peak, a number of NHL goaltenders, including Bernie Parent, from the Stanly Cup Philadelphia Flyers were among his clients.
