Earl was a former QOR of C rifleman who remustered to the PT Cadre in the mid 1950s. He had served in Borden, Shilo, Petawawa, CFSPER, Ottawa and many other locations. In 1963 as an MWO he attended the first Army Gp4 course. He retired as a CWO.

Earl passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Alan (née Corker). Cherished father of Gary (Donna) and Lori. Proud grandfather of Landon, Jade, Luke, Kayla, Kelsey, Zachary, Meagan and great-grandfather of Anthony, Vincent, Bryson, Carter and Jackson. Survived by siblings Dorothy and Jerry. Earl was predeceased by his sisters Martha and Nelly and by brothers Norman and Stephen. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the nurses and staff at The Ottawa General Hospital, who took such good care of Earl while he was in their care. Cremation and private interment was held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services.
