Dick was born in Prince Albert SK on 22 Feb 1936 and passed away on 15 July 2011.  Originally a RecSpec, he was commissioned from the ranks as a PERO. He was an excellent fastball umpire and among other places, he served in Winnipeg. While we were part of the Administration Branch, he changed affiliation and in the rank of Captain, served as the PADO in Penhold. On retirement he worked with the Cadet movement and was promoted to Major. He was a member of the Order of Military Merit.
