Mafia in Borden 1960 ?
(Nice car Lee !)

Well, maybe not Mafia, but there definitely was a mixed bag at the RCASC School that year. For example: Limey Smith, Italian Mattia, Dutch Vermaat. German Gerry Lindner, Quebecer Lee Roberge, Welshman Dave Gee, Caper Smith and New Brunswicker Fergy to name a few.

Flag Day in Metz, France, 1965

This picture was taken 15 February 1965 entering the gates of Metz France. I was stationed at Air Division Headquaters in Metz at that time. The new Canadian Flag was raised at the base and then paraded through the streets of Metz. I was the Drum Major of the Air Division Band and led the parade. The local citizens were very impressed by the new Canadian Flag and cheered loudly. That day was a very proud moment in history for all Air Force personnel stationed in Metz and elsewhere and will be remembered for all time. Where were you?
