after being released from the forces, i took it upon myself to try and help vetersans who were having difficulty dealing with Veterans Affairs. A number of Ministers were appointed who did very little in helping and after contacting other veterans of like mind, Col Pat Strogram, WO Harold Leduc, CWO John Labelle, and a few other notables both in our trade and outside, we were able to keep pressure on the ministers and the government. Our fight with government is simply the Pension Act which all canadians should come under and not just civilians, the cancellation of the age 65 claw back where most of us loose up to 35% of this pension and the return of the life long disability pension as promised by trudeau and not kept. We lost the court case named Equitas where we wanted the Pension Act for all Canadians. Government lied to canadians by releasing what they said was a life long pension or buy out, this was their take on their promise about returning the life long disability pension.
