Huh! Seen this today and thought to myself, I should share this. It's probably made the rounds but since our premiers are meeting this week on the shortage of nurses I thought I would re-post.
About Nurses...
Somebody asked: "You're a nurse?!? That's cool, I wanted to do that when I was a kid. How much do you make?" The Nurse replied: "HOW MUCH DO I MAKE?" I can make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the world when you're scared. I can make you child breathe when they stop. ... I can help your father survive a heart attack. I can make myself get up at 5AM to make sure your mother has the medicne she needs to live. I work all day and save lives of strangers. I make my family wait for dinner until I know your family member is taken care of. I make myself skip lunch so that I can make sure that everything I did for your wife is charted. I make myself work weekends and holidays becasue people don't just get sick Monday thru Friday. Today, I might save your life. How do I make? All I know is. I make a difference!
About nurses. Yes they are all good people and its a shame how many of them have been fired because they refused to get the COVID shots!
I have good memories of both Hank T and Art Vondette. I just happen to be listening to Bob Seger's "Running Against the Wind" and its making me wistfull as I was young and strong when those two fine gentlemen were tutoring me. Where has all the time gone?
